What is the cost of a Renegade Bookbinding Guild Membership?

Membership is $10(USD) annually.

As Renegade is an international organization, your membership fee can be scaled based on the respective purchasing power parity of your home currency (e.g., you pay the equivalent in your currency to what $10 can buy in the U.S.). As part of this membership, you will be eligible to vote on the composition of the Board of Directors for each term, and you may virtually attend each year’s annual Open Board Meeting, in addition to being listed on the Renegade website.

How do I sign up for Membership?

To Become a Member of Renegade Bookbinding Guild:

  1. Review the Renegade Bookbinding Guild Code of Conduct. You will be required to agree to this CoC in order to complete your membership application. Members of Renegade Bookbinding Guild who violate the Code of Conduct are subject to review by a board of Renegade Bookbinding Guild Volunteers, laid out in Section 6 of the Code of Conduct.

  2. Use the Join the Guild button at the top of this page to access the application.

  3. Select if you are a new or renewing member from the purchase options. Selecting the item will prompt the application form to populate. Once you have provided the information your application has been moved to your cart.

  4. To check out: select the cart icon at the top right of your screen to complete the payment. You will receive an order confirmation email from square space.

  5. Once your membership is approved you will be emailed with onboarding information, such as your cohort and a link to allow you to provide an imprint logo(if applicable) to be added to your listing on the Membership List on our website.

* Please note that memberships are processed approx once per month.

When do I need to renew my Membership?

Membership in the Renegade Bookbinding Guild must be renewed annually.
Membership does not auto-renew, members are required to renew their membership during their cohort’s renewal period each year.

What’s a cohort and which one am I in?

All members are grouped into a Winter or Summer cohort based on when they submit and pay for their initial membership with Renegade.

Members who join between April and September will be in the Summer cohort, and members who join between October and March will be in the Winter cohort.  
Each cohort has a 3 month window during which they can renew their annual membership:

  • Winter cohort’s dues will be paid annually each year between 1 January and 31 March.

  • Summer cohort’s dues will be paid annually each year between 1 July and 30 September.   

*All guild members who join Renegade prior to 31 March, 2026, have been placed in the Winter cohort.

Already a member but need to update your information or add your logo?

You can update your membership imprint name, socials listings, and provide a copy of your logo via our Member Update Form.
