A book a day for the month of February; akin to Inktober. Whether you’re new to the world of bookbinding or an aged veteran, join us for a month of binding fun! This event is all about community & learning, be it trying something new or refining existing skills.

April 1st, 2024

Edible Book Day is an international event where edible books are created, presented, photographed, and consumed. Though it does not originate with us, Edible Book Day is an ideal holiday for all Renegade members to celebrate.

Join us in celebrating Edible Book Day and revelling in all things food & book in the days leading up to it, including an Edible Book Day Contest, Cooking Craft Try-Alongs, the Renegade Recipe Cookbook, and more!

April 5th - July 6th, 2024

A "Big Bang" or "bang" is a fandom event that usually matches artists with writers; artists will claim a fic and create fanart based on that story. In our case, we match typesetters & binders!

For the purposes of this event, books must be smaller than quarto/quarter-letter/A6, thus “tiny”.

May 6th - August 21st, 2024

Fanfiction writers appreciation day or FFWAD is an annual appreciation of fanfiction writers and the gifts that they give to fandom. To show our appreciation, binders are encouraged to make a physical copy of a fic for its author as a way of saying thank you for the work that they put into making it.

Celebrate Renegade’s Birthday with us! Fun contests in the Discord and a shared appreciation of the birth of our community.

Banned Books Week is the annual celebration of the freedom to read, sponsored by the Banned Books Week Coalition.

The Renegade Retreat is an in-person event held every other year; an opportunity to meet and collaborate with other fanbinders!

The location of the retreat will change from year to year, as will the variety of activities, dependent upon interest and that year’s planning committee.

This event will happen bi-yearly, on every odd year.
